From the beginning of production, it was clear Vinton has a deep regard for their veterans – especially hometown hero Sergeant Gualtier. This past week, the student senate at Vinton-Shellsburg High School voted to help raise funds for the production of the feature film. They screened the featurette to the entire student body. The film evidently made quite and impact, as their fundraising committee succeeded in raising a whopping $1500 to support the production efforts! Thanks to coverage by local media, people from the entire community contributed. We offer our profound thanks to both the students at Vinton-Shellsburg and reporters from Vinton Today who did an amazing job of highlighting this project.
